Sustainable Ventures
Sustainable Ventures runs one of Europe's largest climate-tech ecosystems from County Hall on the South Bank, combining curated workspace and lab-style space, free business-support programs, grant-writing and R&D tax-credit services, and corporate introductions, plus its own investment arm. Support spans idea stage to Series A, tailored through a gap-analysis plan and an assigned advisor, and it delivers the GLA's Better Futures+ and a national Barclays accelerator. Founders get space, hands-on commercialization help, and capital access in one co-located community.
Carbon13
Carbon13 is a venture builder for the climate emergency, running a roughly six-to-eight-month program in Cambridge, London, and Berlin that assembles cohorts of would-be founders to form teams and build carbon-reducing startups from pre-idea. Teams that pass its investment committee receive pre-seed investment for equity via an SEIS fund, alongside early-phase stipends and access to hundreds of domain experts. Each venture must target roughly ten million tonnes of annual CO2e mitigation potential at scale.
Bethnal Green Ventures
Bethnal Green Ventures is Europe's pioneering tech-for-good accelerator and B Corp investor, running a roughly twelve-week hybrid program that is the entry point for every portfolio company. It is an investor-accelerator hybrid, taking an initial stake for equity then following on from pre-seed to Series A, with mentoring, an expert network, and an open application requiring no warm introduction. Focus spans sustainable planet, healthy lives, and inclusive society.
Founders Factory
Founders Factory is a London venture studio and accelerator running sector-focused, often corporate-backed programs, with climate and energy a current focus. Its climate track invests capital for minority equity and pairs founders with in-house operators across product, growth, PR, fundraising, and talent, plus access to corporate partners for pilots and commercial contracts. Programmes run roughly six months, squad-based.
Climate-KIC UK
Climate-KIC is Europe's climate innovation agency, and its founder-facing vehicle is the ClimAccelerator, a staged, equity-free program offering coaching, masterclasses, a climate-impact framework, network access, and, in many editions, equity-free grants and workspace. It also runs corporate-backed editions such as sustainability accelerators with large partners. Support is non-dilutive, though UK cohort availability is partner and place-based, so it varies.
Subak
Subak is a not-for-profit accelerator and data cooperative for climate nonprofits using open data, policy, and behavior change, offering unrestricted grant funding and no equity. Its staged program provides a tailored curriculum across tech, data, impact, and business fundamentals, mentorship, and access to its data cooperative and a global community. It also runs fellowships for individuals.
Conception X
Conception X is a non-profit deep-tech venture program for PhD researchers across UK and European universities, taking no equity and charging no fees. Its roughly nine-month program runs alongside the PhD, providing entrepreneurship training, one-to-one coaching, an expert network, pitching including a large deep-tech Demo Day, and eligibility for grants, awards, and partner VC funding. It has also launched an angel syndicate for its founders.
Zinc
Zinc is a London venture builder that backs individual founders, including pre-team and pre-idea, to build commercial businesses in mission areas including climate and health. Its full-time, roughly twelve-month program provides a founder stipend, a first cheque plus follow-on, a large pool of potential co-founders, expert fellows, in-house R&D support, coaching, office space, and investor introductions.
Undaunted: Centre for Climate Change Innovation
Undaunted's flagship is The Greenhouse, a 12-month equity-free climate accelerator run with the Royal Institution and Imperial's Grantham Institute for pre-seed hard-science founders around TRL 3 to 5. Selected startups get equity-free grant funding, masterclasses and coaching from technical and commercial experts, free central-London workspace, and access to Imperial's lab benches, prototyping, investor network, and alumni community, closing with a Demo Day. Admission is highly competitive and graduation requires raising a set investment threshold.
