Looking to start or scale a climate company in Seattle?
From Cascadia Cleantech Accelerator, Washington Maritime Blue, and VertueLab, here is the accelerator and incubator ecosystem that can back your startup with capital, space, and hands-on support.
Cascadia Cleantech Accelerator
The Cascadia CleanTech Accelerator is the region's flagship cleantech accelerator, run by CleanTech Alliance and VertueLab and repeatedly funded by the federal innovation-cluster program, having served many startups over its cohorts. It runs a roughly eighteen-week, mostly virtual program delivering cleantech curriculum, matched industry mentors, connections to business, utility, and investor networks, customer discovery, a funding bootcamp, and a showcase, taking no equity with a modest fee and non-dilutive cash prizes.
Washington Maritime Blue
Washington Maritime Blue is a blue-economy cluster nonprofit running a suite of founder programs, led by a venture-scale Blue Accelerator that provides an early investment via a SAFE plus intensive mentorship, access to global industry and government networks, and enterprise pilots including with the Port of Seattle. It also runs a free ten-month Seattle incubator at its Blue Hub with two years of free office space and an accelerator for international startups entering the US.
VertueLab
VertueLab is a Portland-based, Pacific Northwest climate-tech nonprofit incubator and fund combining catalytic capital with holistic support, whose climate impact fund makes pre-seed and early-stage investments in high-impact companies across the region. Beyond capital it co-runs the Cascadia accelerator, offers low-cost federal grant-writing assistance for SBIR and STTR, provides prototyping access through the Clean Energy Testbeds, and runs equity-focused programs.
