Amazon Clean Energy Accelerator
Amazon's Clean Energy Accelerator is a non-dilutive corporate accelerator run by AWS with partners, distinct from its investment fund, selecting mature, market-ready climate and clean-energy startups globally for multi-week programming with substantial cloud credits, mentorship, pilot coordination with large energy and industrial customers, and exposure to Amazon operations. It is an accelerator and pilots program rather than an investment vehicle.
Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund
Microsoft runs two distinct Redmond vehicles: the Climate Innovation Fund, a large balance-sheet commitment deploying growth and late-stage equity, project debt, and carbon-removal offtake into carbon removal, low-carbon materials, recycling, and fuels; and M12, its traditional corporate VC focused on enterprise software, AI, and security rather than the decarbonization mandate. Both are genuinely Pacific Northwest-based. The fund suits later-stage climate ventures needing large, patient, strategic capital or offtake, while M12 suits enterprise and AI software founders, climate-software only incidentally.
